12/24/2023 0 Comments Xenoblade chronicles x dlc releasebut I think that's just his method of story telling. Xenosaga 3 also ends with a huge cliff hanger and a ton of unanswered questions. The whole story of Ethel and Cammuravi is that even when the ending sucks and no one is happy, having to do it again or continue the story takes all meaning from not only past actions but any future actions. Not only is this a "good" act, but a moral obligation. The "heroes" have the ability to permanently take characters away from a story teller and force new stories to be told. Wed 19th Apr don't ask me, I've been writing and telling stories about the same game world for 35 years and I'm still excited about doing it.īut Xenoblades 3's theme is that this is clearly wrong and immoral.Hopefully this DLC wave will clear it up and also followup on some other threads from the first two games There is a bit of ambiguity to the entire proceeding TBH. perhaps save from Noah / Mio (and I would presume a few others) whom seem to hold residual memories of the event (hence the flute). When time was allowed to resume normally and the worlds were allowed to separate, none of this ever really happened from everyone's perspective. XC3 essentially happened as an infinite loop within a single split second via Origin, so time was in a sense "frozen" during the entire game whilst this was going on. My takeaway from the original games ending was that the universe reboot from Origin completed successfully after Z was destroyed, so the data held within both worlds from Origin was allowed to separate after being rebooted correctly. I'm not sure how that could actually work either unless they said the ending of XC3 was a lie. The trailer seemed more like an exploration of what happened when Origin began to malfunction during the worlds merging rather than another loop post XC3. While it's likely to be a while before I get to play it (the name and the premise suggests it being advisable to finish XC3 and the other two flagships including Future Connected first), but, as a Season Pass owner, chances are I'll be downloading it as it is (or canceling the console's attempts at autoupdate every time the game icon is on the home screen□), so one of the details I'm currently most eager to learn is the file size AKA "what would I have to archive for so basically, Metroid Prime 4 in May confirmed?□□ And if fans had a field day connecting Mio to Nia based on their visual similarities alone last summer, then Glimmer might just start another WMG round.□ Surprise indeed - I didn't expect it until autumn or so.□ There's a lot to dig here, much of it possibly supposed to connect more dots once I'll get further in the game (yes, in the true fashion of my Xenoblade playthroughs, my 130+ hours have yet to see me finish chapter 4□), but seeing older Shulk and Rex again is already a wowser.

They also have a rice category where they serve dishes such as Rice with Beef & Fried Egg ($6), and Rice with Chicken, Sausage and Mushroom ($6). Other dishes on the menu include Glutinous Rice Dumpling ($5), Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce ($4), Pork Rib with Black Bean Sauce ($4.20) and Garlic, Mushroom, Spinach Dumpling ($3.80 for 3). It was slightly bland and it was missing the x-factor of a carrot cake that would otherwise mark a satisfying dim sum meal. The Pan-fried Carrot Cake ($4.50 for 3), one of the much-lauded items on the menu, was disappointing. We also tried the Steamed Beef Balls with Beancurd Skin ($4.20 for 3) and Steamed Dumpling Teochew Style ($4 for 3), and while decent, both were unremarkable. Tim Ho Wan also offers five different variations of Vermicelli Roll (Chee Cheong Fun) – BBQ Pork ($5.50), Shrimp ($5.50), Beef ($5.50), Black Pepper ($5) and its signature Pig’s Liver ($5.50). It was a lot better than I thought it would be, and this was because of two combined successes - the deep-fried beancurd skin roll was not too greasy, and the fillings were of impressionable quality. These classics were well-executed to a good standard.Īlso good was the Deep-fried Beancurd Skin Roll ($4.20 for 3). I also enjoyed both the Steamed Prawn Dumplings ($5.50 for 4) and Steamed Pork Dumplings ($5 for 4). The Steamed Egg Cake ($3.80), another of Tim Ho Wan’s ‘Big Four Heavenly Kings’, is also a must-try - soft, fluffy and very addictive. I can say with confidence after trying, that the buns are as good as the ones in Hong Kong. The star on the menu and what you must order at Tim Ho Wan is the legendary Baked Buns with BBQ Pork ($4.50 for 3). Here are some of the highlights from the much anticipated Tim Ho Wan in Singapore. We got a sneak preview at a media tasting last night. Opened by Chef Mak Kwai Pui (previously from Lung King Heen at Four Seasons Hong Kong), Tim Ho Wan has gained a strong following over the years and long queues are a common sight at his restaurants. Tim Ho Wan, the cheapest 1 Michelin Star dim sum restaurant from Hong Kong, is opening in Singapore at The Atrium Orchard, Plaza Singapura today. 12/24/2023 0 Comments Izoom trailblazer walking stickThat was a great reminder, I guess, that fun should be the first goal of music for the way I want to do it. You can just be a natural, but with harmony, if you want to go into the deeper storytelling aspects of harmony, which is what I wanted to do, then I decided, “OK, for this subject, I’m just going to be a model student and take it really seriously.”Īnother school for you was a basement in Toronto with Peaches and Mocky. I think with rhythm and melody you can be quite instinctive. You can’t just bumble into the kind of harmony I wanted to do. That’s sort of the formula I got to, but something like harmony was something that I realized, you can’t really do harmony the way I wanted to do it without having some training. I started to wear it like a badge of honor, that I wanted to make the kind of music I wanted to make, which was music with classical colors and a jazz touch but fundamentally using the structure of pop music. I don’t even want to get good at recognizing deep structure. Because I was already in my mind pretty sure I wanted to make miniature songs, more like songs with the structure of pop music, so right away, there was a moment where I said, “I’m just going to reject this.” I gave it a chance, but I’m not interested in deep structure. There were other aesthetic things, like for example, when you study classical music, there’s a lot of pieces that have a very deep structure, pieces that might be 12 or 14 minutes long with very few repeating moments, for example. In my case, I was very interested in how harmony works, so that was a place where I chose to be a good student essentially and to trust my teachers and let them lead me. It depends what parts of your musical personality. I don’t like this, but this, this I love.” That’s what school is for.įor you, is it partly about learning how to do it properly so you can do it wrong? And picking and choosing the moments to say, “OK, I’m going to trust now that this Beethoven guy knows a little bit of something about music, and so I’m going to stick my nose in the score and figure out what it is that gives me the goose bumps.” If I heard a piece of music that I thought was too intellectual, or I didn’t feel anything, or cheesy, or unlistenable, then I could also understand why that is but feel free to reject going any deeper and just saying, “You know what? Screw this. I think you have to have an oppositional personality when you go into a school situation, but not so much that you’re just being a systematic rebel. Even though you’re a very diverse group of open-minded people, when groups get together and there’s institutions and structure, some people will start to conform, and even in this situation, it might be good for you to look into the eyes of someone you disagree with musically. I think here, there must also be, in its own way. And if you’re someone who dreams of combining categories, for example, it’s good to look in the eyes of those people that are essentially your enemy and at the same time, be smart enough to take the good parts that you can get out of a school situation. So when I went to university, I had to fight against the conformity and I had to fight against people whose ideas I really didn’t agree with, musical purists who put musical information and styles really into clear categories. I have the feeling that whenever there’s anything institutional behind music, it serves a great purpose for musicians because it breathes conformity in general. You studied music here at McGill University in Montréal, and I wondered what your view is on what any artist should try and get out of any school situation? We’re here this morning with a gentleman who has done far too much for us to be able to cover in an hour, so feel free to save your questions about your favorite Gonzales moments until the end, and in the meantime, a very big welcome, Chilly Gonzales. 12/24/2023 0 Comments Intellij idea versionsWhen you click Create, IntelliJ IDEA generates an Angular-specific project with all the required configuration files and downloads all the necessary dependencies. There is a toy bar sold separately with cute wooden toys for about $60. You can find this BabyBjörn baby bouncer in several colors - including light pink/gray and dark gray/gray - and three different fabrics: cotton, cotton jersey and mesh. In the Lab, we love how fast it is to set up right out of the box and appreciate the child lock that parents have to push to make it fully fold down. One staffer's 2-year-old sat in it for weekend screen time relaxation. This bouncer is designed for newborns and toddlers (there are three different recline adjustments) and, without the harness, can still be used as a chair once your baby can walk. I also collapsed it and took it in the car to our playgroup so that if I needed to set her down for a few minutes, I had this option." "I would put her in it while I prepared lunch or cleaned the kitchen. "My daughter loved this cozy but sturdy seat," says GH staffer Stefani Sassos, M.S., R.D.N., C.S.O. The pleasing minimalist design and soft fabrics will look great in almost any home, and the seat is lightweight and easy to fold up for travel. The "bounce" is powered by you or your baby's own movement, so there are no outlets or batteries needed. Long a staff favorite, the BabyBjörn Bouncer Balance Soft can be used from day one into the toddler years, which we love. 12/24/2023 0 Comments Hideo kogama gamesHowever Silent Hills would have turned out, it does sound like the trio had some interesting new ideas about how to push the survival horror genre forward. “In the way that you feel Dario Argento in the early movies was getting off on each murder or you feel David Cronenberg was secretly aroused by body horror – in the same way, you feel Junji Ito being titillated at a very basic disturbing level by his stuff,” del Toro said of Ito. In an interview with IGN about approaching Ito to work on Silent Hills, del Toro called the mangaka “completely one of the masters,” saying that he loved how Ito seemed to “get high on his own supply” while imagining the grotesque monsters, body horror, and extreme violence that are trademarks of the mangaka’s work. I heard that the plan got scrapped through outside sources. “Once the Silent Hills meeting was over, we went to karaoke,” Ito said while speaking at the Toronto Comics Art Festival ( via Game Informer) in 2019. But the collaboration never got past a few initial meetings and a karaoke session. Those who have been following Kojima’s attempts to make a horror game over the years likely know that Ito was previously set to collaborate with the video game auteur and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro on Silent Hills, a new take on the beloved survival horror series starring The Walking Dead and Death Stranding actor Norman Reedus. Cheers for clearing that up.Regardless of how serious Kojima and Ito’s conversation was, the possibility of the two creators working together has lit the internet on fire with speculation. So there you have it: games aren't art, and neither are cars. The owner of the car could be driving along the coastline or they could go up into the mountains, so this car has to be able to be driven by all 100 of these people, so in that sense, it's totally not art." There are 100 people driving a car they have 100 ways of driving it and using it. "But an actual car, like a videogame, is interactive, so it's something used by people, so it's like a car where you have to drive it. "You don't have to be able to drive a car, but if it's called a car and it has artistic elements in the visuals, then it's art. Kojima went on to discuss the nature of interactivity, using the example of concept cars. But I guess the way of providing service with that videogame is an artistic style, a form of art." A videogame should make sure that all 100 people that play that game should enjoy the service provided by that videogame. "But videogames aren't trying to capture one person. Kojima went on to say that "Art is something that radiates the artist," arguing that "If 100 people walk by and a single person is captivated by whatever that piece radiates, it's art. Perhaps surprisingly, Kojima said he agreed with Ebert, stating: "I don't think they're art either, videogames." Kojima was responding to a question about recent comments made by US film critic Roger Ebert, who said: "To my knowledge, no one in or out of the field has ever been able to cite a game worthy of comparison with the great dramatists, poets, filmmakers, novelists and composers." "For better or worse, what I do, Hideo Kojima, myself, is run the museum and also create the art that's displayed in the museum." What I'm doing, what videogame creators are doing, is running the museum - how do we light up things, where do we place things, how do we sell tickets? In an interview with OPSM2 US, Kojima said: "Art is the stuff you find in the museum, whether it be a painting or a statue. MGS creator Hideo Kojima has joined in with the "But are games art?" debate, arguing that, well, no they're not. 12/23/2023 0 Comments Shining force cheats all unitsFollow the link provided for the emulator you're using to be taken to a guide explaining how to get these codes working. He did say that the sequel would amp up the horror from the original game. The closed, hands-off demo that Techland hosted focused only on the day. The Infected are tamer and less of a threat when the sun is shining on them. The first “Dying Light” was marked by the differences in gameplay derived from its day/night cycle. There will supposedly be hundreds of decisions like this that change a player’s unique game. If you choose to side against them, you’ll have to pay for health, but you’ll get a cut of the business that crops up. But they will enact a ruthless sense of justice on the world. If you choose to side with them, you will earn benefits like free health stations and new traversal options. The example shown in the demo was the decision to work with the Peace Keepers, a force dedicated to imposing order and getting rid of the Infected. Calling it a “Narrative Sandbox,” Smektala said they were working with celebrated writer Chris Avellone (who worked on games like “Fallout: New Vegas” and “The Witcher 3”) to craft difficult, impactful choices for players. Possibly the most interesting thing about “Dying Light 2” is the inclusion of choice and consequences. “The map is four times the size of the map of the first ‘Dying Light,’ Smektala said. It’s a squalid, lived in city that has some touches of color and personality added to the extensively brown color palette from the original.Īnd the game will be a lot bigger as well. And at one point, the character threw a bucket at an adversary to distract them before rushing in for the killing blow.Īs with the first game, “Dying Light 2” looks great. The character in the demo had crafted a blade out of a now-useless street sign and the way it was used to block and parry looked complicated and satisfying. The combat shown in the demo seemed very dynamic, relaying on the player to anticipate attacks, find openings, and use whatever is laying around as an asset. “Dying Light 2” will also have what Smektala called “parkour puzzles.” These are scenarios in the game which demand players used their learned skills and the environment around them to get from point A to point B.Ĭombat looks to be greatly improved as well, though it was pretty realistic and enjoyable in the first game. In the demo shown, the character launched himself at enemies through windows and over obstacles, using the layout around him as another weapon. It will also include a number of new parkour attacks. “Dying Light 2” will expand upon that, offering new moves and new ways to use your environment. It allowed you to climb, shimmy, jump, and navigate your way through a destroyed world. “Dying Light” had a fluid system of parkour-like travel. 12/23/2023 0 Comments Best gif animatorAlain’s portfolio site is clean and minimal, allowing his work to speak volumes.
